They may not be blind...they may never have been given a chance to see...What do radio stations play nowadays? Recent music. AKA RIhanna, Miley Cyrus, etc. And even then, it's just today's POPULAR music. When Metallica's "Death Magnetic" comes out, i doubt i'll hear "The Unforgiven III" On radio stations the next day, just because it's new. Even if it's kick-ass.
Those who have never been exposed to the 'old' music have never been exposed to the TRUE meaning of music. In my humble opinion.

Music as an art died a long time ago. There is no more originality in music today its all poppy bubblegum shit. Rock, Rap it doesnt matter it all sucks today. The last bit of groundbreaking music was in the early 90's with albums like "Dirt", "The Downward Spiral", "Superunknown", "Ten", and "Nevermind"
What new music is comming out today that can even touch the greatness of those albums

I tend to agree with stl, my only "alternative" station in town plays the top five at nine. Three out of the five songs are very hip hop mixed with pop sounding.
Chintzy. Only one was actually of the alternative genre, with Zack De La Roca's (of Rage Against the Machine fame) "International" last. It's total BS for a so-called "alternative" station to play, but it was what everyone else most requested during the day. I wonder what alternative means nowadays. I'm sick of hearing the other crap.
