Black dogs are awesome -- thank you for posting this. I hate when people overlook dogs because they are black or black and tan :( I've been volunteering since 1997 at my local shelter and I've seen many dark coloured dogs stay at the shelter for months :/

We have two adopted dogs who happen to be the sweetest, most loving animals on earth. They are both black and stayed at the shelter for quite some time ONLY because they are black. We feel very lucky to have them in our lives.

we had a black lab that had been left for dead. he was the best dog! he was very protective, especially of our baby daughter. he'd lay at her feet and lick them. LOL! i miss him.

I adopted a black dog from the county shelter. He's featured in my latest film. I guess I prefer black dogs because I'm attracted to people with darker coloring. Maybe this is a self-esteem issue...most of us have dark coloring, yet we think light coloring is better.

Very good video. BBDs are wonderful and very much in need of our compassion. Our BBD is gorgeous, glossy and shiny. She's affectionate, patient with kids, and dying to do whatever we ask of her. Very trainable, highly tuned in to our emotions and moods, and never chewed a thing in her life that she shouldn't have.

I couldn't adopt a black dog (I helped my friend get one!!! A black lab mix with a couple shepards!) I adopted a black cat, she's not with us anymore (:() but its the same with black cats. White cats and dogs are bad luck in some places, too. But manly black. Love ya, Raven! (My old cat)

All my dogs have been black and mainly labs or lab mixes. I've always thought that black dogs are soo beautiful! When I adopted my dog from the shelter the first thing I noticed was her little white skunk stripe down her neck. She is a lovely black and white border collie mix.

Thank you for your wonderful video. More people need to be made aware of Black Dog Syndrome. I have three dogs, and the one I most recently adopted was adopted specifically because I wanted to rescue a black dog. She is fantastic! I just had business cards made to educate people about Black Dog Syndrome and to promote black dog adoption. Keep up the good work!

God bless you for pleading the case of dogs, black dogs especially, I have two "throw away" black dogs, that my family and I could not love any more. They have been such a blessing to us, and I would have a house full of black dogs if I could. Thank you!

I love this. I would never adopt anything but a black dog because they need us...I have three of them, a chow and two pit crosses. They're so coordinated! I love the black dogs!
