| Who isn't using this technology, it's like oxygen. But it's made because of corporate need, not human need. Before all this came into being, I was happy. It seems people would prefer to deal with other people thru a computer screen and not in person. What's so great about being a robot? |

| definitely... you hear the guy say that the interface is not really that expensive... but is the iphone? yes. Windows surface? yes. Ipod touch? definitely. as for other multitouch devices, they are hard to come by, but are overall an innovational product and very fun to use! microsoft is releasing the windows touch wall(TM) this year that uses surface... im excited just to test it! |

| i dont know about you but i use technology to enhance my life. it gives me access to knowledge and people that i wouldnt have had with out it. i camp nearly every weekend and am out of the house every evening. you said you were happy before so why would you change that, yes there are people that live with their face in a screen but i say to each his own |

| Let's stop fighting about useless things and focus on how insanely COOL this technology is! I'd be first in line to grab this the moment it became economically feasible on store shelves. This is so freakin' exciting, I love it. Very fluid and intuitive. |

| You can also build the multi touch hardware yourself. All you need is a webcam, semi-transparent cardboard, and a box. Put the Webcam inside the box and cover it with the semi-transparent board. Have light shine onto your hand so it projects the shadow to the board. The finger tips suppose to show the closest color of a human skin color. Write a computer code to track the finger tips color movement, you now have a multi touch interface. |

| Say you have opposable thumbs (:)...that's four points available for two hands on a two dimension surface. Limits make apparent possibility of popularly used 4th dimension. This leaves room for improvement, 5th dimension (look it up) with a physical tool based in 4 dimensions. |

| By replacing computers, I meant replacing modern computers. Computers are defined by their interface, so therefore if it replaced modern computers, it would be replacing that input. Same way Apples replaced the computer (i.e. Microsoft Computer) by reinventing the input system. |

| I hear ya on that this kind of tech has been around for some time. Touch-screen interactive technology is as old me for fuck sake and I'm 27. In fact Multi-Touch was developed in 1982, a whole whopping year after i was born!!! Shit man, why the fuck do we have to wait 20 or more years for new and awesome technology? Business politics is bullshit in my opinion. |
