Ugh isn't that a bitch?
I have a couple of friends who are into the same music as me - as far as folk and alot of music from the 60's and 50's.
But I have nobody to relate to when it goes to the 20's 30's 40's.
I looked up Redmond O'Toole. I like his style of playing. It's clean and I felt like sitting in my room with candles all around while sipping a cup 'o' tea. Ha thanks for that.
Good luck to you to! I hope you find someone.

Rick, this piece has a melancholy flavor, but there are also many pieces by Django that are feverishly upbeat, some happy, some aggressive, some even angry, some with bravado, some a combination of these, and many are explosive at some point(s) as well, but the common denominator in all his music no matter how fast he was playing, was beauty, something I haven't heard anyone else achieve, and as a guitarist myself I listen to them from all genres.

He still had his fingers, the tendons in his two little fingers were shrunken in a caravan fire while saving his young wife after the wax flowers she sold accidently went ablaze. The accident would leave those two fingers crippled, but he kept playing, still utilizing the two fingers with his middle and pointer positioning them where needed.
