Superman III is a 1983 movie that was the third of four movies based upon the long-running DC Comics superhero produced between 1978-1987.
Christopher Reeve, Jackie Cooper, Marc McClure, and Margot Kidder are joined by new cast members Annette O'Toole, Annie Ross, Pamela Stephenson, Robert Vaughn, and Richard Pryor. The film was the last Reeve/Superman film produced by Alexander Salkind and Ilya Salkind. It was followed by Supergirl
in 1984 and the non-Salkind sequel Superman IV: The Quest for Peace in 1987. The film was less successful than the first two Superman movies, both financially and critically. Many fans of the series complained that there was too much emphasis on comedy, the villains were too weak, and that Christop
her Reeve essentially played second fiddle to Richard Pryor. Following the release of this movie Pryor signed a deal with Columbia Pictures worth $40,000,000.

This never felt like a Superman movie. I love Superman 1 and 2 and I liked 4 but was not crazy about this movie. Never was even as a kid. Everytime this movie aired on T.V the movie's picturing looked grainy and poorly restored it didn't have the look of quality. I love the Junkyard scene though that was really cool.

Superman Returns should never have been called "returns" and been a reboot of the franchise not a sequal to Superman I and II. Superman Returns has too many similarities with Superman I. Lex Luthor has the new land plan all over again. Lois Lane sees Superman and faints after she has been saved by him again from a high fall. Luthor makes it all over to Supermans base again. And Kate Bosworth is too young for Lois Lane. Experienced reported with a child at 22?? Superman stalks her too. Creepy.

Wow!!!!! That really reminded me of how much I really don't like that movie. Superman Returns is way better, but was nothing but a $500,000,000.00 dollar advertisement for the next movie..... Which isn't gonna be out for quit awhile:(

Although (in my oppinion) it was one of the worst superman films, counting all the animated features & b&w films, & even a couple of Smallville episodes it features one of my favorite SUperman fight scenes Superman vs. Clark Kent.

OH. MY. GOODNESS. AWFUL! That is the worst trailer ever. It actually shows the whole entire story from start to finish. We see Prior's computer being defeated and him having a change of heart, and we see him being rescued by Superman at the very end of the film. WORST TRAILER EVER. EVER!

my kids like the watching this 3rd one the most. We really like the fight between clark kent and the bad superman. I,myself, like looking at annette 'o toole. Reeve playing a bad superman works well. It's nice to see him acting "bad" after acting nice for so long in the first two movies. The evil robotic lady is a good part, although my kids had the most horrified look on their face the first time they saw it. Cheesy movie with too many long scenes with Pryor.Still a good movie.I rate it a 7/10.

This trailer's not good but I actually liked the movie, largely on Christopher Reeve's great performance. He IS Superman and he got to add a lot of new dimensions to the character in this story, both with Clark's relationship to Lana and her son, and his intense performance as Bad Superman. Richard Pryor is charming just as he is in Brewster's Millions. You can question the decision to make this different kind of Superman movie but the actors do a great job with it.

I dont know what Richard lester was thinking with this. I like this movie, and think it is a lotta fun but it was more a Richard Pryor Movie than a Superman Movie. No continuety at all with the previous Superman movies. A much better third superman movie could have been made.
