elgh.. yes i know im on carpet, this is one of my pathetic attemps to learn to turn. i need to snap my head more, and use more turnout, my arms are sloppy etc.. help me improve this disater!!!

turn out both your legs more (especially your pase leg), your arms should be lower, right now you have them at shoulder height, they should be aprox. at the height of your belly button (exact height depends on the syllabus), and the shape of your hands is wrong, though I can't really be of help there, because there is no way I can exactly (or clearly) convey the proper hand and finger positioning to you in text format, which is just one of the many reasons of why you need a real, live, teacher.

If you're not taking classes and a teacher didn't put you on point and isn't currently supervising you... not safe. I'm not out to spoil your fun or sound like an ass, I just think you should stop because you could injure yourself and never be able to dance properly.

Wow, dude. This is bad. And no, being overweight doesn't make it look like your leg isn't straight. Your leg isn't straight, which is why it looks that way. trust me, there is a bigger girl in my class and she knows how to straighten her knees. you do not. Stop doing pointe, you haven't even taken ballet. Don't want to be a jerk, but you're just screwing yourself over if you ever end up taking real classes. You're learning everything wrong and it's going to be nearly impossible to correct.

ur not taking classes but you are dancing on pointe?? bad idea. you might damage your feet!! plus you need to close in a complete 5th position after each turn before you start another one.

That's one of the most stupid and dangerous things you could be doing. You are a total idiot. first of all, trying to teach yourself pointe without ballet training or a pointe class is awful. You'll teach yourself bad habits and it will take ages to correct it. You'll hurt yourself by using bad technique. Secondly- and more importantly -

DO NOT DANCE EN POINTE ON CARPET. It is slippery and dangerous. Your shoes sink into the carpet and you lose control. Turning in pointe on a carpet is unbelievably stupid. That's SO dangerous. I have 15 years of ballet training and I have never and would never go en pointe on a carpeted floor. I try to stay away from tiled floors as much as possible as well. I hope you break an ankle and learn your lesson. If you were serious about dance, you would know not to risk it.
