| Could it be that you confused his "feedback" to you, with "criticism"? Wayne is pretty conditioned to responding to all guitar players, the way he critiques himself :-) Maybe this is a good thing. Maybe all he was saying was that he didn't feel that you felt what you were playing, when you played. Blues guitar players often say that, and they have 1/16 the technique of Wayne :-) |

| Actually, I found Wayne to be one of the most articulate, thoughtful & generous teachers I ever had. (You know how sometimes you wonder if your teacher is holding back so you keep taking lessons? Wayne was completely open & would tell you anything you wanted to know.) And years before I studied with him he wrote back a very thoughtful & encouraging email when he didn't even have to reply. So I really have to disagree here. As for his music, he's created something totally unique and mind-blowing. |

| I meant ZamzarBob. I said it cuz while there may be some hints of jazz in Wayne's music, it doesn't really sound like jazz. And you'd have to be pretty ignorant of jazz to say that it sounds like any other jazz record you've heard. |

| Great music and great musicians...bot honestly..those kvakk kvakk kvakk 16 notes funky and cool motions never stop...it actually sounds like the over the top way to much drinking coffey before recording..like early on Brand X. And get me right here..cause this are great musicians, and its great what they are doing...but to much of this stuff is just boring...to make this language/style become something more you have to arrange parts of it... |

| That is a completely honest, and valid comment. yet this type of improvising is no different from the static swung 8th rhythm of standard jazz. It's the same shit just modernized. I guess you think Miles Davis is repetitive? It's the same approach, just different interpretation of the beat. His harmonic interpretation destroys modern jazz jukeboxes though... |
