i thought Fioriosa's comment was funny, but now i'm experiencing some problems of my own. when i start up the patch and click the "patch" button, it says "Operation failed; possibly not the original file". can somebody please help me out?

Most errors occur because the file cannot access ipod because of a firewall. i got many same problems and i disabled firewall and it worked!

Turn off your router's firewall. Not the one on your computer but the one on the router itself, thats what causes this error.

The wifi is for your computer to communicate with the ipod, so you must have wifi. But if your installer isnt working thats a different problem, the installer that this video links to worked fine for me.
