I haven't listened to this song for years. Today, when I looked for it, I was afraid to find it worse than how I remembered it. No fear: it's still a good song.

No-one would dare ... ( 3 weeks ago by XMIR10B)
No-one would dare to call a copy of this song a version unless they are Wall of Voodooo themselves. There is no other-band version, no other Wall of Voodoo, no other possibility, no other. Read this and think -"Wall of Voodoo performs the best version of Mexican radio I have ever Heard".
SPM? More like WTF ... ( 2 weeks ago by Tobimar)
SPM? More like WTF! I know that Ridgeway was writing a song in homage to the border blaster radio stations of earlier decades, but what is SPM talking about? Drug use and illegal border crossing? All I know is that I hope that SPM is paying Stan Ridgeway a lot of money to be able to even cover the refrain of this great song.

Nobody else besides ... ( 2 weeks ago by erkekler)
Nobody else besides Wall of Voodoo could ever do this song justice, IMHO. Nobody could ever make it as unique, offbeat, surrealistic - even psychotic, I mean....a human head in a pot of pinto beans!! It will always be a unique song coming from a unique musical period.

Check out 'Don't Box Me In" for more Stan Ridgeway --playing with Stewart Copeland of The Police. This song was from the movie 'Rumblefish' circa '83.

(response to XMIR10B)
No, there are different versions of this song. There is one where you can hear the Mexican Radio host speaking (probably a version made specifically for radio; trust me, I have heard it) at the very beginning of the song AND THEN there is the album version where there is NO MEXICAN RADIO HOST SPE
AKING at the very beginning of the song.
You take me too ... ( 1 week ago by XMIR10B)
You take me too literally. There is "only one Wall of Voodoo", hence only one real version. No-one else can compare.
