they got the right, but there comes a time when theyre just abusing the genre. and that time is now. it started as DJing. mcs yelled out sentences. Then they realized they can get a message out. now we dont. its fine to have music to dance to but i wouldnt listen to this on my free time. name me any rapper you assume I never heard of. yup, your faves dont say much about me. they say much about you. sorry, i'll take 5 star restaurant food over your mcdonald's trash any day of the week.

soulja boy isnt even a rapper. secondly, ive heard at least 3/4 of those rappers. theyre unknowns. decent freestylers. im not hating on them. theyre probably nice people to talk to, but that doesnt mean their music is good. why is their critical reception so low? because of bad quality music. and more deserving artists who get high ratings from everyone and put effort dont get so much money. the best chefs also put effort. real rap has meaning. other rap is just good to dance to.
