I had the honor of being on the Johnny Carson Show (The Tonight Show).
He tries out my gasoline powered jogging machine invention at the end of the segment. Robert Blake is on this clip too. I also was on Real People with my jogging machine. It's after the Tonight Show on this video.

That was cool Burt. Its great to meet someone that was on the Carson show and actually see them.. How did it come to be you being on the show? Have you invented anything? Have any pattons? Who was the other guest when you was on?

burt, good grief I know it's been a few years since you were on the show but 2 questions : did any of these inventions ever amount to anything? I have seen the FIRST ALERT weather clock in SHARPER IMAGE STORES was that you? and second : why in the world would you expose your inventions without having them patented first???

I recently, have successfully marketed The Cool Touch Oven Rack Guard, which keeps you from getting those nasty hot oven rack burns, when you accidently touch the front edge of a hot oven rack. It's a Nomex fabric cover that snaps over the front edge of the oven rack and stays in the oven to be on guard all the time against such burns. Please google jazinnovations

Why do I just give away the ideas? The inventions I showed on Johnny, I had already shown to various companies, using disclosure agreements. I had no success with them. Disclosure agreements don't cost anything, compared to patents which may cost $4000...and both are merely evidence in court, if you decide to sue a company who you think has stolen your idea.

I asked him to put that in writing, so I could take that to the radio manufacturer and he said "no way".
The Sharper Image weather alert clock works off government broadcasted signals which were created by legislation pushed by special interest groups. That was something that was way beyond my ablility to achieve.

Hi, 2 good questions. I didn't get the weather alert clock radio to the market. Interesting story though. In order for my invention to be successful...to convince a radio manufacturer to produce it, I would have needed a local radio station to "agree" first, to send the alert signal during inclimate weather. I did talk to the general manager Of WABC radio in NY and he said he would be interested in sending the signal......>continued below

Thanks..used to live in Thailand,even remarried over there. My best friend has invented some games including Fingerhockey,Cultivation,Strange Game,and a cool Risk style board game but with some key differences.Sadly not much marketing success.Any tips !
