I think you misunderstand what is wrinten in your book. Most likely it meant that people were afraid of seas and oceans not the water. Even now theres lots of people drowning in the sea because of its unpredictable nature. Coast lines and weather might have been even more dangerous 1000+ years ago. And the location, you do realise that middle east had most likely most civilised people at that time? Also knights in middle ages were able to swim, even in armor.

well if you dont like scary things get fallout 3 man it is better than both but if you like really scary things get dead space but you have to play the chapian over and over agian thates all you can do in it about the same in creed but creed is like mid evil gta and fallout is better than creed though so if you like open world first and third person shooter get fallout 3 and for scared get dead space
