im sorry if i seemed personal in my response i didnt mean it at at at least not twards you, Four Winds is both a reference to Ezekiel 37:9 as well as a Neil Young song I cant recall the name of ill look it up later. Great satan is used to decribe the catholic church or western influence in general, america is nicknamed "great satan" by many countries. in his eyes there is no sepration of church and state even more so how religion is the cause of so many wars

you are correct on this and to dig a little more the sqatters are like the settlers of this country, what they invisioned and what it has become because of how young our nation is and its immatureness "we are our own fall" the second verse is more of his coming to terms with this, again pardon if it seemed at all demeaning, and im not a great speller, Cuz iv used spellcheck for years lol.

alot of his songs are meant to be interperted by the listener, but as u can imagine alot are not. I could honestly have it all wrong but iv listend to him a long time. Also Check out" The Second Coming" a poem by Yeats. It is refereced in this song. :)
