I got a response that said "I hate people who bitch about something and don't propose a solution" . . . I told him, the solution is to make sure everyone knows how much we are being raped. Our debt was far greater as a %GDP after World War II. Our debt was 120% GDP and it was at levels higher than todays % for decades.
A financial collapse will cause a severe contraction in the money supply and put us into a catastrophic depression. We can reduce our debt in a normal market correction the way we did after World War II without self-destructing.

Am not so sure. The problem is derivitives (I cant for the life of me remember how to spell it, and spell checker is offering me tons of options :(), the money is levredged, 100 times. So, throwing any money at it is, in essence, comperable to throwing money into a black hole. Infact that is probably an apt analogy for it. We probably would have to drop the dollar. That amero north american union conspiracy imo has goten a lot more cred after all this.

Our financial system is much larger than the stock market.
We went 70 years without a major financial panic. Sweden successfully responded to a similar crisis in the 1990s. America waited too long and we may be thrown into a catastrophic depression as a result.
