He wasn't a priest. He wasn't anti-sex. What do you mean the "teaching" did not work in his own life? So what if he slept with his best friends wife. Good on him. The institute of marriage is a crock of shit. Once the lust is gone from the relationship, then what? You still have a friend but you spend the rest of your life (maybe) feeling guilty about wanting to sleep with other people. Marriage is not natural. Also..Was he not allowed to fight in life? Was he meant to sit back & be meek????

That's an interesting question you offer. I suppose it gets to what you regard as "real love" and why that would make marriage unnecessary. I know many people who are married, some who appear quite satisfied with their arrangement, but I'm not sure that they (or I) know what "real love" is.

I guess a concern that I had with your question is that it seemed as if you were trying to create a "should" based on meanings you've ascribed to words and the mental arithmetic you can perform on those words. The assumption was that "real love" would regard marriage as unnecessary. But people have married for many, many centuries now.. and many continue to feel driven towards it. Faced with such a trend, it might be best to accept and hope to improve it.. rather then let the limits...

I remember hearing the statistic years ago, that 50% of marriages end in divorce (probably is higher by now). I believe that this reinforces the idea that marriage is not natural. I myself have never been drawn towards the idea. There are too many beings to love, too many to care about, to just be able to pick one. It seems that when people marry, they begin to shut out the rest of the world.

there are many books of Jiddu Krishnamurti talks in english; I just deleted my whole explanation on video above since it's hard to make a conclusion out of a process. Every conclusion leads to many questions - ... so I recommend you to get a complete text from any of his talks and read it slowly paying a full attention. it is great stuff how to understand functionality of of mind, ourselves, and what happens when mind is constantly quiet...
