Alright, these programs aren't extremely sophisticated primarily because they're freeware, not commercial. I have iTunes 7.6.0.29 (the same one as yours), and I find the same problem using MyFairtunes6 v.0.5.7 (Rev 28768). You need to find the most recent version of it, which is currently Myfairtunes7 v.7.0.2 (Rev 33955). It should work then :)

I think you have the same problem as the person right below me. You're using the wrong version of MyFairTunes for your version of iTunes. MyFairTunes6 v.0.5.7 (Rev 28768) works with iTunes 6.0.5, 7.0.0, and 7.0.1. MyFairTunes7 v.7.0.2 (Rev 33955) works with the most versions of iTunes, including the current most popular one, iTunes 7.6.0.29

Look, sometime I'm going to remix this video so that nobody will have to ask these questions. But until then, learn that if the songs aren't automatically loaded into MyFairTuntes, it's that your version of iTunes is not compatible with it.

Does anyone know if there is a way to strip the DRM from an iTunes video file? I am trying to watch a purchased video on my Sony walkman, but it won't play because the walkman doesn't support the DRM file. It does support other mp4 and m4v files.
Well, converting ... ( 5 months ago by GuanoGuru)
Well, converting video is a whole lot tougher. The easiest way you should take, only if your computer is very fast, is to use a program called Tunebite which will record any video file and can convert it into several different formats. I use it, but I can't go further that TV shows because audio and video both get distorted. Sadly, there aren't many alternatives. Keep looking, though.

Thanks for the great answer...I have spent most of yesterday and you are right, Tunbite seems like the best option. Hopefully faster internet speeds, more powerful computers, and and increase in demand to put iTunes downloads on non-Apple hardware will lead to more and better options!

I'm happy I could help =) We might have to wait a long time, though, before Apple stops using DRM. I swear it's like an addiction for them =P Good luck

Well I'm sorry my friend, but the only way to do that right now is to use a program called Tunebite which re-records each song. I own it, and the quality is still very good. It just costs a little... MyFairTunes currently does not have a version which supports iTunes 7.6.1, but you should keep checking... after all, it gets updated very frequently.

Thats fine, like what you want to like. The reality of it all is Macs are better for the more creative things like graphics and video editing while PC's are better for your technical and office stuff. It just depends on what your looking for in a computer.

Good Video, BUT I would guess you can't do this in Vista, your drivers must all be signed to work. So if you have vista, I'd say it's a wash! So far there is no work around that I can locate or figure out on my own. Dowm with DRM we are spending to much time trying to listen / watch what is already ours to do with what we wish! Microsoft you listening>!
Tunebite is a great ... ( 4 months ago by GuanoGuru)
Tunebite is a great program that can convert DRM-mucked-up files, except $50 is a bit expensive if you intend to use it for personal use. I recommend getting it only if you require to convert tons of files, like if you're part of a radio station or something... It works with Vista, and it can monitor a folder so that any time a new file with DRM is put, it will be automatically converted.
