lol, I'm in 8th grade and my fastest mile is 5 minutes and 13 seconds, but these people are crazy fast. I can't believe their strides. Thanks for posting this video I'm going to study their strides to get better at cross country.

The average kid (in my school) averaged around 8 minute miles in the 8th grade. My friend could run like 10 miles non stop and had like a 12 minute 2 mile time. This is crazy though.

There is a heel-strike for the mile. Notice that the turn-over on these guys is obscenely quick though (not a lot of time on the heel). I don't think they ever get up on the toes.

lol 4:05 would not get you any where for the Olympics. You run a 4:05 for an Olympic mile, and you will get dead last. Alan Webb couldn't qualify and he got like 3:41.54 for the 1500m
