Saabs are redone GMs with crappier electronics and worse ergonomics. The newer ones are looking good though. For a Swedish car, I'll take a Volvo. Which, btw, is a Ford-owned company, but not a rebodied vehicle from another brand.

Yeah, the 9-2 is a redone Subaru (aka "Saab-aru) WRX... For the money, I'd get the Subaru and enhance it.
I say "redone" because they share basic platforms (i.e. Epsilon). European cars in general tend to have buggy electronics; my Volvo does, and several of the Porsches, Morgans, MGs, Triumphs (British I know), BMWs, and M-Bs I've helped work on that friends own have the strangest electronic problems.
I dislike the ergonomics mostly because of ALL THE SMALL BUTTONS. lol.
Turbos rule. :)
