I was wondering, my original footage has fine audio but when i take a certain part of the footage and drag it onto the timeline there is no audio? I put 'toggle audio and video' but i still don't hear anything during playback. What do I do?

Yes, it supports the HD formats. Check out Adobe's site for all the supported formats and features of Premiere Pro.

Do you see the audio clip on a track/ Can you see the waveform in the clip? Make sure the "speaker" is "on" for that track. I'd always find answers for these issues on Adobe's Premiere support pages... the knowledge base and forums.

Every time I export a file for this in WMV or MOV format as 640x480, a black box appears around the actual footage, making it small and hard to see. Know why?

Maybe because the footage you use isnt recorded in 640x480. You should try using other resolution in your project or resize the footage until it fits the resolution.
