its insulting that a fellow LEO would support ending the drug war. the person must be from canada!
why is it insulting ... ( 1 month ago by fuckinghellyoutwat)
why is it insulting? i'm going to let you in on a little secret copper, everyone can still get there drugs, and as you have more people incarcerated than the peoples republic of china with only one third of the population of china, and you have more people incarcerated on drugs charges than the whole of europe has for any offense, maybe the 69 billion dollars a year you spend enforcing your drugs laws could go to a more worthy cause, also look up "law enforcement against prohibition".

As a fellow service member and a combat veteran I appreciate his response. However representing the same background I am ashamed McCain is still afraid to speak his own beleifs. When a presidential candidate is oppressed in his opinions it is a blatant sign of tyrany. The war on drugs, waged by the state against it's own citizens, is against our national spirit and national identity. Regulation is in the spirit of the common good, but war is good for none. I am ashamed of my representation.

It is so fucking obvious that he will not do anything on the issue. He will say ANYTHING to get elected. McCain will never realize that laws against drugs do nothing.

McCain is such a ghastly senile moron he makes me want to vomit up my cherios every time i hear him babble about his outdated mccarthyist republican bullshit policies. seriously, i'd rather have that corrupt shitstain of a liberal hilary clinton as prez than this ignorant fossil any day of the year. OBAMA for 08!
MCain DOES realize ... ( 1 month ago by lathzz)
MCain DOES realize that drug laws do not do what we are told they do. His WIFE is the major shareholder of Budweiser. The McCain family has a VESTED INTEREST in keeping the Drug War going. They dont want the
American citizens to have a safer recreational alternative in Cannabis because they want us to drink their alcohol. All Republicans should be ASHAMED for voting this guy in when they had a True conservative to vote for in Ron Paul.
bigdog; As a LEO ... ( 1 month ago by lathzz)
bigdog; As a LEO you should support ending the drug war. What good has it done? As a LEO your stated mission is to protect and serve the people. Does the Drug War allow you to do that? No. It makes it far easier for kids to obtain drugs. Some sort of regulation w/o prohibition would go far to eliminate that problem and you would have the added bonus of not having to worry about narcos running around with automatic weapons. The Drug War is the opposite of "protect and serve". Think about it.
...and I wouldn't ... ( 1 month ago by slashnumberonefan)
...and I wouldn't vote for either, because they take away freedoms that american's should have. Gay marriage for example. Marriage between a man and a woman is based on christian and other religious beliefs. Religion should not play a part in who can get married and why. Right now the main reason why a gay couple could not get married is because it's a sin and that gay marriage has never been allowed. I'm not gay but I believe that this is without a doubt wrong.
You think Gay ... ( 1 month ago by lathzz)
You think Gay marriage is wrong or are you saying that its prohibition is wrong? If you say its prohibition is wrong then I agree. Its only a "sin" because churchies say it is. "sin" is a human construct which has no true basis in reality.

They don't want to ... ( 3 weeks ago by cdltpx)
They don't want to end the war on drugs b/c the drug dealers are funding the policy. McCain sounds so out of touch on this he totally lost me in this the presidency is not about policy makers anymore it just a glee club popularity contest. War on drugs war on terror both are funded by policy if policy were respectful we would have no war on either. We will always have terrorists as long we have ignorance.
"terrible people ... ( 3 weeks ago by kmish213)
"terrible people that prey on america" ???? the drug dealers? how ironic, it seems its the government trying to prey on america imprisoning college kids going to better themselves, imprisoning people who are very ill and can rely on marijuana. while these people are being locked up alcohol abusers are out drunk driving, beating their families, and killing themselves. smokers out there are killing themselves. i believe marijuana should be treated with as much law as tobacco and alcohol.

Bla blah blah. He is really ignorant in regards to this topic. Oh wait a minute he is also ignorant about the economy. Why is he the republican presidential candidate? Why does he not get educated about this issues.

government is NOT in the business of dictating personal virtue, that those virtues should be controlled by a central office, and by a single dictator.

Drawuin; What??? the gov. IS in the business of dictating personal virtue. Is that what you meant? How are drug laws(canna in particular) not an example of dictating personal virtue?

This mindless fucker should not be president. He is on stage denying personal responsibility and self-ownership. VOTE LIBERTARIAN, OR GET THE EARLY DEATH YOU DESERVE, FOR MAKING AMERICA A POLICE STATE. How long do you think you can allow the Fed to ship boatloads of freshly printed dollars overseas? How long can you afford to put 1.6 million innocent people behind bars? McCain is totally wrong about Amsterdam. Mindless bastard! He denies the plain truth of what the officer says!!
