Well maybe he was stoned or something, but that's not what inspired this song, and he was definitely not on LSD. Why do you think that in order to have an imagination and a surrealistic mind you have to be on drugs? That makes no sense to me.

Yes I know that, but John didn't need drugs to experience this. In all actuality none of us do. Everyone has the mind power to see what they want to see, and to see things beyond reality, but that may be too hard for you to understand. This was normal thinking and "reality" to John.

There are many songs written by him and the other Beatles that were drug inspired, but I strongly believe this is not one of them. I take John's word. It is inspired by his son and the painting. The visions in the song may seem to be drug related but that's only people's mature minds thinking that way, anything weird or trippy looking is automatically labeled as drug related these days when it could simply just be a good imagination

No... the title says Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, so the acronym would be LITSWD.... Julian Lennon came home from preschool with a painting of Lucy O'Donnel and said"look it's lucy in the sky, with diamonds!" It was in the picture. John would not lie about something like that. He didn't care what the media thought of him, if he did then he would have never made the "Jesus" comment. You know, when he said that The Beatles were more popular than Jesus an a bunch of people freaked out and a bunch of fans started rebelling against them and burning their albums. they said it was a 6 year olds drawing and she drew her aunt in the sky cause she died, and she wears diamonds so she drew them. but looking at this video, everything is inside the peoples heads and stuff(LSD)
