Wirklich schwierig dies anzusehen. Diese Szene ist so r ücksichtslos. Aber zugleich: niederschmetternd und monumental. Bergman ist wirklich der Meister des psychologischen Dramas. Vergleiche auch 'Herbstsonata' mit derselben Thematik.

What can you say? I guess most sons sooner or later has this kind of talk with his father, although perhaps not about the same issues. Anyway this scene almost makes me cry, its very touching and so painful at the same time. I guess i realized many years much too late what a good director Bergman was, but at least i did, which i am glad for. Mr. Bergman, RIP!
