the true test of a truck is how long it lasts under hard service...not trying to drown it or smash it into pieces. It was destroyed, no doubt about it, but of course it could still run. DRIVE the HELL out of it and then tell me its a good truck after the engine and trans are fubar. Not saying they weren't tough lil trucks, just not the way to go about proving it.

You hit the nail on the head there friend, but some of the consumers out there in the world prefere to go on what the media tells them instead of actually doing their homework and finding that Toyota is not the end all. Too bad for the mindless consumer, and good for the facade which calls itself Toyota.

BestestMoron- Are you sure about Toyota trucks being done right? The Toyota Tundra is full of problems. Several buyers have complained about the troublesome trasmission so much to the point "Consumer Reports" have turned up their nose at Toyota now. The same Tundra has tail gate problems to the point where they just fall off.
You might want to do some actual research before regurgitating what the fawning media has to say about Toyota.

My Petrol V6 Navara went to 480,000 Kilometres before it started to die.. With barely any servicing, and the only part replaced was a water pump.
