Its might be 10 years later, but voice actors train their voices every day, for the most part, voices dont change that much after the teen years until you usually reach your 50's, unless you suffer a problem with your throat in between then. I'm only estimating with the 50's things, some peoples voices begin their final transformation alittle before, or sometimes well after their 50's.

Okay i had watched this film @ veoh TV and read what anno told in the press confrence. Anno told that this movie will be more confusing for a so-so watcher. The ending will be different but we can't hope a happy ending. This what i'm thinking about The End Of evangelion Movie & Death & rebirth answer what happened at evangelion anime tv version but make a new question. So maybe this film will be same like before.

Lilith showed up, and was recognized AS LILITH, that NOT a 'small little tweak'.
There's others we don't understand, the 3rd, 4th and 5th angels being called the 4th, 5th, and 6th, and Kawrou showing up this early in the game with a Lilith look alike behind him.
So if change is what you want, just be patient, there's plenty in the next film, i guarentee it.

Incorrect, Evangelion was first released in english in 1997 on VHS, I don't see why those tapes would even exist if it was a 2004 release.
The 2004 dub was in response to the 2003 Japanese release of Evangelion Renewal, featuring the Director's cut material, which even the original Japanese cast had to come back and dub the year before.
