How can May claim to be the best welterweight, YET, other than Judah HAS NOT fought any top 10 welterweight??? Hmmm. Doesn't make much sense. Mayweather turned down 8million to fight Margarito. Mayweather turned down a fight against Mosley. Mayweather retired, KNOWING FULL WELL that whomever wins the Cotto-Margarito fight, HE WILL HAVE TO FACE. May is a coward and a disgrace to BOXING!!! Fight the best and CLEAN OUT YOUR DIVISION, THEN YOU CAN CLAIM TO BE THE BEST WELTERWEIGHT.

He nevr said hes the best welterweight he said hes the best in the world and every1 knows he is.he won titles in 6 diff. weight classes so obv he faught good fighters to take 6 belts. When he asked mosley for a fight earlier in his career mosley turned him down so what makes him thnk he can get a piece of floyds wallet now that hes the best. itll happen eventually with him n cotto,money will be2good and once again floyd will prevail as the best. Posse u really need 2 do your homework...because u should have known that fact about Mosely turning down the fight wit FMJR... As for Cotto i take nuthing away from him but i really dont believe he has the boxing IQ to beat a fighter like Mayweather...I really think he is more of a brawler then a boxer...u might be a brawler fan but FMJR is a Technical boxer big differance and trust me that counts when ur fighting BRAWLERS!! Mayweather was not offered 8 million to fight margarito, margarito at the time was not really known by a lot of fans, nobody wanted to fight margarito not de la hoys not mosley nobody because there was the simple fact of risking a loss to a relatively unknown fighter, in the business world that would be dumb. Floyd only wanted fighters with a known status that he could get people to buy tickets and order ppv to see him fight, for example de la hoya or hatton. Business son, business.

Demorik i'm sure you don't know ANYTHING about Boxing. I'm a HUGE Mayweather Fan but you cannot say Margarito wasn't known? Wtf he was and still is a Mexcan Worrior. He has had 3 Belts and faught many Fighters. Look at his Record.

Actually, Floyd was offered $8 million, right after He bought himself out of his contract with Arum. At that time it was more money than Floyd had made for any fight. I used to think Floyd wasn't ducking him. But I think he is. Right now is the time to Floyd to fight him. Lots of money for that fight. Although I think he would have earned more had he fought Cotto(if Cotto didn't lose.)

I did some research and ur right, however most people r using a certain video as reference where margarito approaches floyd in person, introduces himself and asks for a shot to which floyd replied " u will get ur shot". I think floyd lost his desire to fight, too much money maybe, or maybe his hands are messed up, i liked his smarts in the ring.

Really, well how come even after he beat cotto and i was telling people they would ask me " who is margarito" come on dude be serious. If i say floyd or de la hoyas name everyone knows who they r.
