Well, several things went wrong. Firstly, bread crumbs are not good fish food, maybe as a little snack, but longterm, no way. Second, most carnival goldies are diseased. Third, if you had them in a bowl, they suffocated, a goldfish needs 30 gallons, and fourth, if you didn't put the tank through th nitrogen cycle, then the ammonia will kill them as well.
