Every year, 35 million tonnes of electronic waste is exported to China to be scrapped. There the rubbish is broken down by hand, poisoning workers and polluting the environment. "Smoke from the computers is too strong to breathe", complains one disposal worker. "I feel dizzy and can't see any more". Many employees at the electronic disposal plant suffer from respiratory illness or skin diseases. They work for ten hours a day, with no protection from the hazardous chemicals.

They ship lots of good here, and it is reasonable that we ship something back rather than have the container ships go back empty. The electronic goods would go in the landfill here.

Exactly Clamluvr. It is these people that are ruining the town with poor techniques. At 7:07 it is not chemical poison that "bruises" the man. That is a bad case of Ringworm. A fungal infection transmitted usually from cats. It will just get bigger and bigger like a mushroom fairy ring in the forest. It's a fungus after all.

We have so many laws that we are forced to ship our ewaste to other nations. What do you propose? you see a problem but you have no solution. I propose our government establish a recycling program right in USA. Or Build a plant in a poorer nation and employ local people to do the work. Instead of just whining.
