He only got one cause he's a comic figure, and as hard at it is for talented asian-americans to get signed, he makes it even harder. he's the asian stereotype: fob accent, nerdy, and no musical talent, and no matter how talented an asian-american is, that stereotype is still in the back of their head. | It doesn't matter cuz that's how U.S is. If you want to be famous go to Asia, you will not be the mainstream singer in U.S no matter how talented you are. It's all due to the White supremacy bs. Maybe a few female ones who bow down to the white men. In a marketing sense, U.S only got about 5% Asian population so it doesn't make senses for them to market an Asian singer especially male. |

| true true. it just pisses me off that probably the most popular asian singer in america is a joke. Paul Kim (from american idol) for example is a GREAT singer. but this is what they said to him over and over again: "if you didnt have that asian look, you wouldve been signed yesterday." Plus, he was one of the 1st 4 to be voted off. Ive seen plenty of asians who are incredible singers, but they still get beaten by the Chris Brown Usher Mariah Carey whatever clones, just cause they're asian. |
