Pssh! I wouldn't guess he could sing like that when he first started. I just heard about throat singing from a friend of mine who taught himself khoomei, kargyraa, and sygyt just by listening to CDs of it and practicing on his own. He sounds really good to me. You should believe in yourself.

go for it, one does not need a good voice for khoomei :) it just takes alot of practice and dedication to learn but it is entirely possible :)
