I hate the body shape but love the engine they need to rethink something does this look like muscle the answer is no it looks like a fucking gran am when I think of muscle it's a car that turns your head twice they really need to retro fit this car!!

i work in the industry. in australia. i know the engines are cast in mexico, assembled in the US and sent to us in crates. we then tune them for our superior PULP fuel. that's about it. not sure why you chose to respond to a specific comment rather than just posting a standalone comment though.

its a holden commodore with 2 doors.we make em here in australia.same size bonnet, everything.we now do not make the monaro for domestic sale, only export.

I own the 05 model & its easily the best car I have owned. 400hp 6speed, PBR brakes, plus a comfortable ride, and a super interior. This car coddles you. It's invisible to cops. I convince ppl that its a front drive V6, till I fire it up.
The retro Mustang did nothing for me. The GTO had 100 more hp for less money. I got my GTO for $28.8k
The retro Camaro will fill the void.

the pontiac version has been all tarted up with fake air intakes, and a different grille. i spose its probably more popular in america that way but i still prefer the more minimalist holden body.

Say what you want about it being Aussie (GM never tried to hide that) but it did one thing that the Monaro couldn't.
After GM announced the GTO was coming back, Ford re-styled the Mustang, Dodge brought back the Hemi (at least in their cars, I think they put it in the Rams before or shortly after the GTO was announced)and the Charger, and a few others came back (the Mercury Marauder, the new style of the Camaro, ect.)
Once again, the GTO started the muscle car craze.
