Yeahk, producers get sued all the time, and lose because they "ripped" but what I'm sayin' is I think the whole thing is a load of bul hah. I mean, Hip-Hop is sampling, just because these guys didn't get royalties doesn't mean jack, I mean it's obvious that it's a sample, not as if they were tryna hide it

Yeah, Kanye West based his entire career on sampling... but you gotta give royalties. The only distinguishing factor between sampling and ripping is the royalty fee. They actually modelled they're whole vidoe on UMI 10's so maybe there is something there. But who gives a shit right??? Good songs all round.

It's not about trying to hide weather or not it's a sample. It's about the person who composed that melody and the musicians that played it...They gotta eat! I'm a huge proponent of hip hop, but when you really appreciate music you will understand why people deserve their royalties...In some cases its all they ever get from an album!
