I'm not a democrat, but I agree with Dodd. 9-11 was an unprovoked attack, they hated us then and they hate us now. Does Paul expect us to turn our backs on Israel? Since that is the reason they hate us so much. Paul's brand of idealistic pacifism and isolationism may sound moral and good but it is in reality utter foolishness, and can only lead to disaster for this country.

If it was an "unprovoked attack"...why didn't they attack Canada? the Netherlands? Switzerland? Australia..those are free countries too. Israel has the most nuclear weapons in the Middle East..they all know it...They can defend themselves..

We SELL to the Saudis, we GIVE to Israel. There is a big difference. Israel is the largest recipient of US aid in the world. They use that aid to continue the longest running military occupation in modern history. Time to cut that aid off. That is what US citizens should be working towards if we want to secure homeland safety. US security can only be assured by earning the respect of the international community. Funneling billions of dollars to Apartheid Israel every year doesn't do that.

Here's a wild idea; they hate Americans, because Americans invaded half the middle east half a century ago, and have been occupying it ever since; America is not meddling with their country; America has invaded their country. And it would take Americans 12 months to get back to the states?!? BULLSHIT!!! If China were to launch an invasion of america at 6:00 A.M. tomorrow morning, does ANYBODY really think it would take 12 months to get the men and equipment from Iraq back to America?!?!?!?

uniqueu, Respectfully, you seem to forget what happened before, during & immediately after Katrina. Blackwater dressed in Guard camo went door to door collecting innocent citizen's weapons - registered or not. Other than the SEALS/CIA/Blackwater blowing up the canal wall, cutting power & telecommunications lines, starting fires & sniping at rescue choppers, there was no boots on the ground. Besides, after what happened to whatever was posing as Flt 93, I'm not so sure about military 'help'.
