This show was killer...I was lucky enough to tape some of the many and diverse groups Mr. Sandborne had on his show. You name the genre...he tired to showcase a multicultural mantage. (sp?) Feel the angelicness of their statement.

Wow what an ignorant statement there Marisa. I'm nearly 20 and I listen to this stuff along with 311, radiohead, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The older generation isn't the only generation that enjoys jazz these days. Also making a statement like "Why should I appreciate your era of music when you don't appreciate mine", rap is not music..anyone can rhyme to a beat....it doesn't take the slightest bit of talent to do so...

While i do agree with you the only true way for every body to respect each others music is to do eactly that: respect what people are trying to achieve. As they say - One mans trash is another mans treasure. It can be applied to music as well. The problem is to many people make ignorant judgments on styles before they truely listen to what is going on in a tune.

would not have been anything special.The introduction claims they filled a need to add aew dimensions to jazz rather than improvising popular ballads but those ballads still dominate and remain jazz's most popular
medium. e.g. the Diana Krall success story.
