The guitar sound on your recordings is outstanding-you are due big thanks for capturing the magic-I asked Buzz what guitar he used on "Heavy Scuffle"(the aaalll time great)- he said a 335...I think-absolute nonsense-and told him so-have a listen-it sounds like a stock Strat...to be continued....thanks anyway,FeitenFan for the clips-

Well .. re check Tonar from Neils TAW album following some little funk chops Buzz makes a noise that sounds like a Fresian cow ( expectant ) has had a blunt instrument placed up its rear .. the resultant noise one of shock and possible pleasure .. then mega solo .

Yes, over the years Buzz has sang many tunes real well, starting with "Buddy's Advice" on the Butterfield "Keep On Moving" album and the Full Moon albums. A real talented guy!!

Cool.
You probably were the poster of the video I watched recently of Buzz playing with Butterfield back in '67. I was watching it going, "Who's that kid on guitar?" I'm truly impressed with his singing skills on this one. I'll have to check out Buddy's Advice.

It`s so sad that the Larson-Feiten only produced a couple of records, the full moon records are great.
What happend to Neil Larson? Nothing heard about him for many years, his organ was so cool
Neil Larsen was in ... ( 6 months ago by FeitenFan)
Neil Larsen was in Al Jarreau's band for over 10 years playing keyboards and doing arrainging. I guess he wanted a steady gig. There are some Al Jarreau videos on YouTube showing Neil, also some with Buzz playing acoustic guitar. Neil just put out a live CD with Robben Ford (no Buzz). It is a europe only release, so far.

This is definitely one of those songs that ya never get tired of listening to. It is a great song and remains one of my favorites to this day. The albums that Neil and Buzz released together were very good and showcase the talent of these two getntlemen.

Neil and Buzz are one of the great "duos" in music. Even though they are great separately, they are even better together, me thinks.

I'll second that emotion ! like Zawinul & Shorter .. one plus one equals three .. Neil & Buzz ... like the combined voices of John & Paul .. pure magic .

It is definatley Lenny Castro, I believe the drummer is Art Rodriguez (sp?). Art was the drummer on their tours and albums. I believe the bass player is Bobby Sucamato (spelled phonetically).

Yes, these guys are consummate musicians. The Larsen-Feiten band was one of the best things I ever saw live. Buzz and Neil take long solos that never bore or sound cliched. Some of the live recordings around are fantastic!!

Oops, he just missed an "ooooooh" at 2:39... Ah well, they should have let these guys play live!
