| Fairly informative, but Car & Driver really show their sloppiness and smugness here. At the time the P1800 was introduced, Volvos weren't considered especially "stodgy". The Amazon, PV444 and, especially, the 544 were considered to be peppy, fun to drive family cars. The P1800 may have taken 14 seconds to get to 60 (and probably much less once broken in properly), but you had a blast getting there. I'll take that over a Ford Falcon with a V-8 (aka "Mustang") any day. |

| In fact the P1800 was desind by a young swed named Pelle Petterson. He was in the time employd by the Italian copany. You can see Mr Pelle Petterson in my video "Kullavik". He is the man all dressed in withe. Standing by my golden P1800S -69.You can even see a glims of him in the back mirror when he drives it in a parade. The scoters are also his design and I toke some pictures of them too. |
