READ ME FIRST: The intro is VERY long. Let it buffer for 5 minutes to skip directly to the Lisa demo. Please visit my sponsor: http://www.SolidNutrition.com Subscribe to me on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/adiblasi Filmed in 1984, Alfred demonstrates the $10,000 Apple Lisa computer on a tri-s
tate cable channel. This was a very early 'mass introduction' to a system that had a graphical user interface, icons, pull down menus, and a rodential input device called 'a mouse.' Enjoy! Alfred

i think that you my friend are a retard, vista is easily the best and most simple os i have ever used. im currently running a macbook pro with a partition of vista, and a vm of xp and ubuntu, and my favorite is vista. its very simple to use, it took me months to completely learn apple, but vista, you can learn it in like 30 seconds. whats hard about vista? what do you find challenging about it?

Listen, son, I've probably been using Windows since you were in diapers. You can't even begin to tell me that Vista is "easier" to use. They moved things around just for the sake of moving them. Items are commonly buried three or four clicks deeper than they were on XP. That, my friend, is total bullshit. They didn't simplify jack. It's not "challenging", it's frustrating. I know how to use it, it just pisses me off that it takes me more clicks than XP to do so. Way more than OS X.

Also, OS X is not difficult to learn, it's just different than Windows. It took me a few days to learn OS X, not months. It took months to learn all the nifty tricks that make OS X amazing and enjoyable to use, but not to just plain use it, that only took a day or two. This is after using Windows for twelve years.

LMFAO, just click on start and search for the files you want if you feel that way. and also, idk what the fuck your talking about with 3 or 4 clicks deep. if you feel that way, why not just search?
There isn't a ... ( 3 weeks ago by UbiquitousGeek)
There isn't a search feature in Vista that will point out menu items. Spotlight will do this in OS X. Vista's search is still a joke compared to Spotlight. You know exactly what I'm talking about when I say that menu items take more clicks to find than they did in XP. I'd say that's pretty clear and concise. For example, to change the desktop background, it took only two clicks in XP. It now takes three in Vista. That's just one example out of many.

uhhh i would have said that vista search was better than spotlight. but w/e, i guess an extra click is too much for you when you can have a WINDOWS OS that doesnt get viruses or errors and is easier to maintain... ill gladly click twice as opposed to having 3 antispyware softwares on xp and still getting it. paying 30 bucks a month for norton and still getting viruses. vista and avg is soo much better and easier.

Uhm, you're nuts. Spotlight is much more robust. It provides better results, it's faster, you can look up words in the dictionary, you can do math and you can search on multiple disks and over a network. So, what could you possibly have meant by "better"? Oh, and I don't need any anti-virus software and I don't expect I'll be needing it anytime in the foreseeable future. Why the hell couldn't it be a more secure Windows AND maintain it's ease of use? Don't you see how silly you sound?

Basically Vista is ... ( 3 weeks ago by goreparade)
Basically Vista is nice, its more sleek then XP, but is a complete asshole when it comes to installing certain programs. XP had no compatibility issues, whereas Vista does. Also, as stated earlier, most of the regular Windows features have been moved around in Vista. Apple OS is not hard to learn either, it's simple to use but a very powerful OS.

Actually, the only graphic things at that times were games, so I'm not sure how the business people reacted. Also, it was too expensive. But what fascinates me is how some programs are round, and even cast shadows! Now THAT is the proof of innovation.

well, I can tell you how my friends reacted when I was growing up in the late 80's early 90's (born in 85), it was mostly like "holy shit! you just click stuff! OMG!" Some software was graphical back then, but you still had to use an awkward command interface to boot them up, this is the first time everything required little to no programming skills.

halo3d, When you were two you could only crap your pants, I'm guessing your capabilities have improved since then. They weren't POS processors back then, they were state of the art for their time. If not for them you would not have quad cores today, like you, they have improved.
