Me too. I do more work with engines and electrical than bodies but I have done both. I also worked for Dodge for years and I have done some racing. Mostly drag racing but some road racing and autocross as well.

Oops. I meant ZL-1 because that is what we were discussing earlier. Heck yes the ZR-1 is a go. It's going to be an awesome car. There is talk of a ZL-1 that would be even more radical. I don't know how I feel about them using that nameplate again. The ZL-1 cars were very special cars and I don't know if they should cloud their mistique. I felt the same way about the new "Charger Daytona". Sorry Dodge, but the new one doesn't hold a candle to the original.

no mutch about k memebers? im looking to buy one for my challenger im restoring i ran into to i like one is from xv motorsports dot c*m and the other from magnumforce dot c*m the one from xv cost more but it seems very similar to the one from magnum force except the one from xv is alot more expensice any ideas on which is better?

I don't know anyone who has used the Magnum Force and have not read anything about them but XV is getting a ton of good press about their stuff. It seems that everyone that has tried their stuff has been impressed. Their Level 1 suspension kit looks very close to original but greatly improves the car's handling. The Level 2 kit looks nothing like stock but delivers astounding handling that has been described as "supercar handling". It costs cubic dollars though.

I would love to upgrade the suspension on my big block A-body since it handles like a bus but it has very low mileage and is still all original so I really don't want to mess with it.

Good question, I know the 300C SRT8 has some amazing handling for It's size but I believe this challenger would blow it away.

I think the only problem with the car is the size. I mean 4,100 lbs for a modern car and it's not a suv? Still makes me wonder though what you could do to the performance numbers with some weight reduction.

That is the Challenger Drag Package car and it did have one of the stock engines. It also was not launched hard if you saw the video. It is roughly 1,000lbs lighter than the street car and you can get a 6.1L HEMI, 5.7L HEMI, or 5.9L V8. In the hands of a racer that will tweak the setup and lauch the car hard it will be in the 10s all day long.
