I know people are going to cut me down for saying this... but I've just come to a conclusion, which even I was surprised to make. But I think Leona Lewis is, if not better, she is just as good as Whitney. Hearing them both live makes it easier to compare and yes, Whitney has so much power, but I don't think she is really able to use all of it when she sings live. Maybe we just need to put the perception that I think most of us have of Whitney being "The Voice" behind us.. Leona is just as WOW!

Whether you're allowed to have your own freedom of speech, technically and realistically you're wrong. Comparing Leona to Whitney is just like comparing a dog to a cat. They aren't comparable. Whitney has a very powerful voice. Listening to her on YouTube or on your MP3 player isn't even a 1/3 of how powerful she really is. Leona's voice isn't powerful - and struggles in her low range. Leona doesn't wow me. She's very boring on stage, lacks charisma and stage presence. So how is she comparable?

When you have proof: - Leona can sing opera - Leona has over or 7 consecutive #1 hits - Leona has had a sold-out world tours 5x (in stadiums & arenas) - which she has failed to even orgainise yet. - Leona has had 3 successful movies one of which grossing over $500million/
£250million. - Leona has sold atleast 20 million albums for her debut album (which is looking unlikley). - Leona having a single over or 14 weeks at no.1. Then I might have 2nd thoughts. But for now, she isn't comparable.

i like leona lewis. i think leona is a very good singer. but i think Whitney is slightly above her. Leona can become a whitney. but i can see where you're coming from, when she(Leona) sang I will always love you on X factor. she did an amazing job.
