what are u talkinga bout? i'd say this ranks up or higher than any of kelly or CARRIE not KERRY underwood's performances. we all have our opinions i would say this is the best performance in idol history as well.

Screams? Go listen to Kellys AI performances of Natural woman and her AI ENCORE reprise of Cant Live...she is in an entirely different vocal class than Cook, with a full 4+ octave vocal range. Don't let your fan status cloud your objectivity. Cook is a great performer, but Clarkson is a great Vocalist. It's not even close. Not...even...close.

Sorry, the song kelly sung as an ENCORE is not "can't live", it's "without you." It is the only encore in Idol history afaik. I like Cook tons, i voted for him, but vocally he just cannot match the range of either Clarkson or Underwood. Underwood held a SEVENTEEN SECOND high note in one AI performance. Both KC and AI are superstars for a reason...

Oh i think I misunderstood, you, yes kelly clarkson has a bigger range than Cook. I never said she screamed that was someone else. That high note she hit in Natural Women gave me chills, I'm not sure if its 4 octaves maybe 3-3.5. Carrie however, I think has a similar range to cook. I like all 3, just of all of them Cook makes music I really like.

For me, David Cook makes the music I like with a voice that is amazingly sexy (I'm sure that's a girl thing, but it's true for me). He's the only person on American Idol I ever voted for. He just does it for me.

His older half-brother Adam has brain cancer. He's had it for 10 years so it's a miracle that he's still with us. It was growing earlier this year and had spread to his spine. David learned that during the show. So Adam came from Indiana for this performance. It meant so much to David. At the beginning of the tour, we learned that Adam's tumor had stopped growing and he's doing ok. David so loves his brothers....
