Marciano turned Pro at 23,won a Title at 29 and retired at 32.But sadly his opponents were just Blown up Light-heavies who had been Boxing for so long and had peaked in their late 20s early 30s.They had accumulated double digit losses by the time they faced Rocky so they were passed their Prime and that's a fact.
If Marciano had fought an Unbeaten Fighter or a Legit Heavyweight in his 20s,but he never.
They would have been nobodies if they fought in the era of Ali-Foreman-Frazier.
They would have been reduced to Club Fighters or tomatoe cans for sure.So again your point still falls short. They are still nobodies in my opinion because the only one who remembers them is you. They did nothing significant in Boxing so that's why they are forgotten.
Sorry mate your man's Resume is very much padded.
Cooney's left-hook is often called one of the most powerful punches in boxing history. Foreman, Holmes, and Lyle have all stated that Cooney's blow was the hardest they had ever taken.
Were white people so hurt by this?
