During the ... ( 1 week ago by twainname)
During the Megadeth-Suicidal Tendencies (Infectious Grooves on New Years Eve) tour of 1992, Rikki brought the ball down to Florida to promote the tour. there was something new about Rikki that became the new insult of the year. Rikki enters the room with a new short haircut Dave: "Morrissy is that you?" (referring to The Smiths lead crooner). Followed by walking away in the middle of interviews, telling Rikki he ruined the show by walking out on stage to introduce Megadeth etc, etc.

Interesting to see that Rikki cut his hair in light of the end of glam. ;)
Well, Jeff Hanneman ... ( 1 week ago by SoulObject)
Well, Jeff Hanneman was once sitting on the hood of my car drinking a Coors, and my drummer said, "Hey, Jeff, why are you drinking Coors, 'cause Metallica does?"
Jeff said, "Aw man, I should hit you for that." It was pretty funny to watch. Is that satisfactory? B-

YEAH, MAN, THANKS. :D There should be more people like you on YouTube and less people who fill it up with random junk. If only you could set up a website or something, it'd be cool to read anecdotes from someone who's hung out with the legends. :) It may sound trivial but I can imagine a lot of people who would appreciate that kind of insight. Do you have any recordings of your band's songs that you or the others could put up on YouTube? Anyway, like I said before...thanks. :) :D

Hopefully, metalcore will get wiped out ala glam metal. All it takes is something that is the complete antithesis to its negative attributes.

yeah man metalcore will be destroyed by thrash
I hope Dark Angel ... ( 6 days ago by JosephKuby)
I hope Dark Angel reunite for what was meant to be the 5th album: The Atrocity Exhibition. If not that then I'd love to see Devastation or Exhorder make metalcore obsolete.
well dark angel's ... ( 6 days ago by witchinghour666)
well dark angel's singer recently converted to christianity apparently but devestation and exhorder coming back would fucking rule
It's already not as ... ( 6 days ago by MoonOvIce)
It's already not as big as it was...it's just another trend just like Glam and such and thus not a true form of music as most good/true metal is.
You see bands like ... ( 6 days ago by MoonOvIce)
You see bands like Nuklear Assault and you wonder..."how did Metallica get so big, if there were better bands then and there are MUCH better thrash/general metal bands in general today"?

yyyyahhh i just hate todays metalheads...this has some meaning on the lyrics unlike trivium or sum other bullshit

well... how did metallica get so big?..if u listen to the first 5 albums of metallica (from kill'em all to "metallica") u'll see that their discography was perfect. pure thrash metal. but they couldnt handle the fame and became what they are today...garbage.
Oh they're good ... ( 3 days ago by MoonOvIce)
Oh they're good alright (though I would say the first 4 albums) but for me there were better bands like Kreator, Destruction, Sodom, Nuclear Assault, Overkill, Sadus...and I'm just naming Thrash metal bands because it wouldn't be fair to compare them to other metal sub-genres when what they were doing back then was "supposedly" thrash metal.
Why do you miss it? ... ( 3 days ago by MoonOvIce)
Why do you miss it? it's still here!
Trivium is not even ... ( 3 days ago by MoonOvIce)
Trivium is not even considered a metal band...they are just another poser/fad band. I guess you used to watch headbangers ball when they said that funny crap of metal being dead? that was for people who were on it as a fad or trend. Metal never died, on the contrary it got even better on the 90's and all after that.

this shit's awesome, i wish metal bands were like this today.
i can't see how ... ( 2 days ago by Brunget)
i can't see how Metallica can be one of the "big four" in thrash, sure, they could be in the Big Four of all Metal, but in Thrash? Comeon, their only really thrashy album was Kill em All, and that was when Davey was in. If i decided who "The Big Four" in thrash would be, i would keep Slayer and Megadeth, and replace Metallica and Anthrax with Kreator and Overkill
i think its lars ... ( 8 hours ago by dariusb23)
i think its lars that is the main reason for the commercialisation and the way it became more of a business and brand name. cliff burton was holding up the other aspect of music first and just doing what comes naturally. then he died....
