Seeing Spin 2 Symmetry in GEM, a Unified Field Theory

Uploaded by: sweetser
Video Description:
This 15 minute APS talk explains GEM, my unified field theory for gravity and EM, as a variation on EM, our most successful field theory. A particular problem is discussed, seeing spin 2 symmetry in the vector coupling term. Feynman in his Lectures on gravity, chapter 3, shows how a coupling coupling term has spin 1 symmetry. I show how a simple twist of the two currents leads to a spin 2 symmetry, so like charges can attract, as they do for gravity.

Well put. I am studying physics at the moment and this was very easy to understand.

It sounds like you are referring to the Hierarchy problem. My work has yet to address that issue. Until I have an equation that relates to a specific problem, I will just nod and say, "Yup, that is a problem".
