| no offense to the beatles, of whom im a fan of, but to classify them as style of music as jimi or led zeppelin is inaccurate, they were more pop than rock and there is nothing wrong with that because they were a great band and are one of the greatest but imo i believe hendrix was a bigger influence on hard rock/blues style rock. Jimi you were and still are the man, and though you may have passed,your legacy still continues today and shall always be carried throughout the end of time. |

| DonJVivo, You just whiffed painfully no that comment. I'm not quite sure what you define as a "pop" group seeing as though they were all on the same "pop" chart back then. But the Beatles influenced everyone. I think you have misjudged exactly what the Beatles became from 1966 on. It wasn't "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" anymore. If you're gonna say Sgt. Pepper or The White Album are "pop records" I just don't know what to say to that other than you obviously haven't heard them. |

| Hey the Beatles, though not as insanely talented on the Guitar as Hendrix, WHERE THE GREATEST INFLUENCE ON ROCK past present and future, but i agree that hendrix was a great contribution to hard and blues style rock but the Beatles where Legends and never will be surpassed by any artist ever. |

| Right on as the beatles progressed through the 60s there style evolved and developed into greater more meaningful and more "rockish" songs. ex. Helter Skelter, Sgt. Peppers, and While My Guitar Gently Weeps possibly there best song ever! |
