Shaq was the MVP when he led Kobe to the Lakers 3-peat. Jordan led his team to all 6 of their rings. Jordan didn't choke in the Finals like Kobe did on now 2 occasions. Jordan was a better scorer and played 10X the defense Kobe did. Jordan was 9-10 time All-NBA defensive team and won defensive MV

Nobody plays D in the Western Conference except the Spurs. Other top teams in the western conference (such as the Mavs, Suns, Nuggets) play 0 D and that's why they don't win championships like the Celts and Pistons and the Lakers when they had Shaq.
For the record, Shaq went to 2 NBA finals without Kobe, winning a ring with Miami. So it's Kobe can't win without Shaq. Put Kobe against a defensive minded team (Pistons or Celtics, etc.), he gets shut down, unlike Jordan.
