Hello, Please tell me how it could be dangerous? Or what you suspect as a "physician"? A portable phone uses radio/micro wave frequencies . These are very low energy electro-magnetic waves... A part from a little extra thermal vibration I don't see what much more it can do... I hope you'll reply. Good day.

a new study from israel has shown long term use increase the chance of mouth cancers in long term users, and I believe they monitored people over a longer period of years than other studies, I believe the 10 year period.

Well many studies show mild effects of various kinds in functioning of living cells. Some studies suggest more serious possibilities such as making accoustic neuroma growths more likely. But the risks in all studies seem to suggest risks are very small, and studies do not agree in the findings they are reporting. it is still very early days. Expect debate for decades to come.

One point to note about this study and every other study performed to date; phrases such as "some studies show...", "may be", "evidence towards..." No one knows for sure what detrimental effects mobile phone use has on the human body (if any). Why? Mobile phones haven't been around long enough. SO FAR studies worldwide have shown NO adverse effects on mobile phone use and the human brain.

Furthermore... the MAXIMUM CONTINUOUS power output from a 2G GSM (900/1200MHz) handset is about 0.25 Watts, and from a 3G (2.1GHz) handset it's 0.125 Watts. At those power levels and frequencies the cancer risk has been determined (so far) to be extremely low to non-existent. This is not my opinion, but that of scientists worldwide. My opinion is that there are thousands of other things to worry about before mobile handsets, and walking out your front door poses a greater risk to your health.

watch out for the cell phones.. Like Cars, like smoking!! Some will DIE!! I can Prove my point and show my study... That a lot of poeple will die in thier lives!!! In my study it shows that people who INHALE oxygen will die!!! No one can show me other wise!!!! I am so sure of my study that I will give 1,000,000,000 dollars to the person whp proves me wrong.. Yes that is what I am saying - very heavy use for a long period. But even then I expect future studies to confirm that the risks are low - compared to many other things we do everyday.

The argument about not having enough data is bogus. How else would the FCC be able to set exposure limits for manufacturers. A phone's Specific Absorption Rate can be up to 1.6 W/(Kg of body tissue) and still comply with regulations. At 1.6 W/Kg, it only takes 30 min to heat 1 lobe of your brain by 1 degree C. That's 2 degrees for an hour phone call. The scientific evidence is there. However, it's left up to the consumer to decide whether they want to play Russian roulette with their brains.

I wish that setting a level was as simple as having answers. Easy to set level for exposure. Hard to prove long term impact with short term data. Fact is we have only been using mobiles for short time and new generation mobiles create different patterns of radiation than old (3G) so we need fresh studies which will take up to 20-30 years to full data on 20-30 year exposure risk.I think it will turn out that the risk is very small for say a 60 minutes a day of use, but cannot be 100% certain.

I think it's presumptuous to assume that new generation phones are any safer than 3rd Generation phones. In fact they may be several times more hazardous. But that's exactly the point, 20 more years of research are needed before these devices can be proven to be safe and until then, their use should be discontinued. If drug companies are subjected to several years of clinical trials before being able to release a drug, why should cell phone companies get away with releasing untested technology

Your brain, spine and nerves work with an almost unmeasurable amount of electricity. If anybody thinks this equipment is not hurting you then the cells needed to understand this simple fact have been destroyed. Think about it, do you really need proof? Are you actually going to wait 20 years before someone tells you this? If so, then you are playing their game of chance, and they will win as all they want is your money and that they will have in only 2 years. I'll pass!
