Security gate crash test

Morrison Equipment's 40-foot swing gate earned the K12 L3 rating when it stopped a five ton truck, loaded to 15,000 pounds, traveling at 50 miles per hour. The rating means the vehicle was unable to penetrate past the gate. Karco Engineering LLC, an independent crash test facility in Adelanto, California, performed the test.

the main problem with this gate is repairing or replacing it afterward is not going to be cost-effective. the impact causes the gate to buckle, will it still open and close? It'll be a security nightmare to install such a contraption, esp because its so heavy you'll need an electric gate opener to open and close the damn thing. It'll be cheaper to get the pneumatic posts.
