Toyboy generally means someone much much younger than you. Like Ashton Kutcher would be Demi Moore's toyboy. And seeing that she looks like she is 22 or 23, the boy must be 15 or so. And you cant have sex with minors, its illegal. If you are below 18, ur a minor.

Is Sinitta lying about her age or somethin? Apparently she was born in 1966. If this song was released in the mid 80s she would have been like 20 wouldn't she? Seeing as toyboys are supposed to be about 10 years younger than the woman they're with, her toyboy would have been about 10 at the time! wtf, how does that work??? lol lol lol!!!

I just love the feeling this song creates - that sort of slightly melancholic "longing feeling", if you know what I mean, which you can hear best when Sinitta is singing "he's my gigolo and my Romeo" and also in the instrumental section. That Stock-Aitken-Waterman sequencer-style drive the song has is also great. The best information is that Sinitta was born on October 19, 1966, so she was 20 years old when this came out in July 1987. She was only 19 when So Macho came out.

You know what, you're absolutely right! If Mozart had been alive in 1987 instead of 1787, he would have written this song. I hate it when people write this sort of music off as trashy pop.
