Yes we were shitting ourselfs, it was our first comp and we were amazed to do so well. Thanks for the 'smart' comments guys :) we had just got our hacking kit a few weeks ealrier and all agreed it looked awsome.

Nice to see the new pipe band of this newly amalgamated regiment. Did the KOSB and RS pipe bands also compete? Does this downgrade the army pipe bands when they go up against the civies?

My personall view is that army pipe bands should not compete. They should use their limited practice time to perfect a more traditional sight and sound. Leave it to the civvies for all the fancy modern tunes and the like! The army pipe bands should concentrate on drill and tunes for their regiment and portraying those traditions.
