This is a music video to the song "The Last Laugh Of The Laughter" by Travis.
This video contains scenes and clips from the movie "The Longest Day" that deals with World War 2 and the D-Day, the invasion of the Allies in France. In this video I concentrated only on soldiers of the Allies. I want to make another video about the german soldiers. At the beginning you can see
english soldiers who want to save a bridge. The german soldiers have the order to destroy it, if the enemy is attacking. After that the "real" invasion begins. I hope you like it. It's my first video ever... =) Comments are welcome. Thx, 23E I DO NOT OWN THE SONG OR THE MOVIE. I ONLY CUT BOTH TO

americans sucked in both world wars. they intentionally sat around and wait until the enemy was virtually dead until they came for easy wealth. if they were smart and came earlier in both wars, we could of ended them in like 2 years.

First of all, whay should the US been involved in WWI?
It took the "Lusitania" to get us to even support the Allies and when it did become in our interest we DID become involved. BTW, if the Europeans studied the American Civil War, you would have had some idea about the carnage of modern weapons like Petersburg and Cold Harbor. Instead the Brits
ignored Grant's biggest mistake (in his own words) at Cold Harbo and cause the slaughter at the Somme. Don't blame us for that.

"Private Ryan" was not supposed to be a movie about D-Day, it was totally about one American unit's assignment to find another soldier, that happened to take place in Normanday in 1944.
I am sure there has been British movies made solely about the Pegasus Bridge battle or other isolated stories set with the Nornamdy invasion.

the yanks were late they had the reports of the concentration camps in early 1941 and the yanks didnt lift a finger ,england had the shit kicked out of it and the yanks just said sendem food thatl shut them up and then they attacked russia in september and north africa and the yanks did nothing then they sent more supplies knowing full well that they were gonna get sunk by U-Boats because the RN were spread to thin until finaly The Japanese bomb Pearl and even then it took 3 years 2 attack Lame

That's "hypocrit" ultradumbass (appropriate screen name). I don't think we turned the tide in WW2, but we did make a difference in the West. The reality is the Western (Canadian, UK, and U.S.) was secondary to the Soviet effort. That doesn't mean the Western Allies weren't brave, didn't make sacrifices, or didn't hurt Nazi Germany. It does mean that no Western nation won the war on their own.

you making fun of the commonwealth view of spelling? hmm, lets see here. first of all, you don't spell color, it is colour, you don't spell neighbor, it is neighbour, you don't spell harbor, it is harbour, and grey is grey not gray. so if anything i'd watch my tone if i were you. and even though western nations may of been "brave" in the war, does not make them the real winner. the soviets are, they got three quarters of europe, most of the middle east, and more than 90% of asia.

I'm not making fun of Commonwealth (note the use of the capital letter?) spelling. If you can cite a Commenwealth dictionary that justifies your lousy spelling and grammar, then please provide the title. As for the "soviets are"...the Soviet (there's that capital letter again) Union ceased to exist in 1991, in case you missed it. I question the control of "90%" of Asia. What Asian nations did they occupy? Please provide a source. Better yet, go back to school.
