The complete prototype circuit is shown here built on a single PCB. The reflector is made from PVC pipe with a rear mirror. EHT now slightly lower and the gap size has been reduced. Track is 'Hold Me Now' from the Thompson Twins - chosen purely for it's good dynamic range, vocals & clever percussion ! Let me know if would like to see & hear any particular song - see what I can do ;)

I'd love to hear this used as strictly a tweeter, perhaps above 5-8k. And I have two musical demos to try, one is common, one is not. #1, a first gen CD, Duran Duran 'Save a prayer''83 Rio. This CD is scarily bright but it gives tweeters a good workout. #2 'Time Passing' by David Foster 1988 The Symphony Sessions, it has some very nicely mic'd guitar and piano. I am intrigued about mentions of a kit in later demos, any ETA or idea of cost? Seems like a natural to publicize via MAKE magazine

Had 5 mirrors in a rear semicircle once. Looked nice, but very awkward to assemble. I opted for clear illuminated Plexiglass for a TV studio presentation - see my other videos ;)

Id like to hear some fast psytrance played through these like some stuff from the Firby Bothers is good. My speakers are to slow for my tastes but plasma as my guess is will be much faster.

It can be made to change colour - chemicaly or using light pipes - There's a LED multicolour backlit video in my other videos ("fun in the dark")

is that a final work? Noise is reduced on about to 0! Can you play a bass and a treble sound to check if your plasma speaker prefers best a fixed range of frequencies? You may realize that you need to make a plasma woofer and a plasma treble speaker! (friendly)

Dang, I could use these as PA system speakers if the mood ever came over me. What's the low end volume for the arc? I know it won't be perfectly quiet, but I'd be interested to know what the arc's rest state properties are. Have you thought about including a high pass filter to eliminate the sub-90Hz frequencies that cause the arc to act wonky?
